The A-Team!
During the Vietnam War, Colonel Morrison who was the commanding officer of the A-Team, led by Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, gives them orders to steal from the Vietnam’s Bank of Hanoi to contribute in ending the war. Although they were successful in the mission, they discovered their commanding officer was murdered in their base through a Red Shelling after the war ended. Their headquarters was also burned down.
Because of this, there was no proof that they acted under their commanding officer’s orders and were then sent to prison, fort Bragg. However, they were able to escape even before they went on trial.
While on the run, they served as good-guy vigilantes or “Soldiers of Fortune” everywhere they went. Their leader was Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith, who was an actor and an expert in disguises. He was also fond of danger. As an actor, he would take on roles, which required him to put on heavy make up or wear a costume.
The team’s con artist was Lieutenant Templeton "Faceman" Peck, who was also a lady's man. He has the ability to convince anyone to give the team what the team needs using his good looks.
Sergeant Bosco Albert "B.A." Baracus was the mechanic and took care of intimidation and mayhem. He has a great fear of flying and he needs to be drugged to get on a plane. Lastly, Captain H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock was a certified lunatic and an expert pilot. He was so shocked and affected because of the war that he lost his mind a little and got confined in a V.A. psychiatric hospital.
Templeton "Faceman" Peck had to think of confidence games to get him out and fly for them whenever there was a mission, while the other members would help to break him out from the mental institution.
There was also Amy Allen, who was a reporter that convinced the A-team to let her be a member of the group. She was written out and then replaced later on by Tawnia Baker.
They were first pursued by Colonel Lynch and then Colonel Roderick Decker. It was Colonel Lynch’s facility they have escaped from. Later on, they were chased by Colonel Decker, who was more aggressive. Much later, General Harlan "Bull" Fullbright replaced him. Eventually, the A-Team was caught by General Hunt Stockwell, who manages a clandestine spy network. He offered them a pardon if they would collaborate with his own team and do some perilous missions.
In the final season, Frankie Santana, a special effects guy that Hannibal worked with in the movies, was blackmailed by General Stockwell to join the team after helping the team escape.
