Fantastic Four: Overview
The Fantastic Four action figures have been created to accompany the Marvel comic books of the same name. These heroes were first introduced in 1961 and their series of comics has gone on to become one of the most successful and longest running ever. It has also led to lots of other Fantastic Four media including movies, animated TV shows, and video games.
The Fantastic Four is made up of; Mister Fantastic, Human Torch, the Thing, and the Invisible Woman. During the nineties the toy manufacturer Toy Biz produced a popular line of action figure based on the characters. This was during the same time period as the animated series which was at the peak of its popularity; the figures are based on storylines from the show. As well as all the main characters in different attire this series also produced all the important enemies. Some vehicles like Thing’s Sky Cycle have also been made available. The Fantastic Four has also appeared in other toy series over the years.
